'08 Cadillac DTS

Packed with entertainment and comfort, the 2008 Cadillac DTS is an updated version of Cadillac’s luxury sedan renowned for being the largest one to be manufactured by Cadillac. With cabin as well as trunk space, this vehicle is well equipped for drives across long as well as short distances.

The V8 engine of the 2008 Cadillac DTS remains an unmodified feature about the vehicle. With a capacity of 4.6 liters, this engine is able to pound out a scintillatingly smooth 275hp in the standard models and 292hp in the Performance model. A Hydra-Matic automatic four-speed transmission constitutes the primary transmission mode.

The '08 DTS does not compromise on safety, either. Other than the multiple airbags and traction control mechanism, the StabiliTrak feature is also included.

An additional feature introduced in the 2008 make of the DTS is the Lane Departure Warning mechanism that compensates any difficulties that drivers may face in handling this enormous vehicle on winding roads.

'07 Cadillac DTS

Easily the longest luxury sedan to be manufactured by Cadillac, the 2007 Cadillac DTS received a few improvements over the 2006 model. All the models focus on luxury and comfort over a modest-yet-commendable performance, while the Performance trim level is designed for added power and maneuverability.

The 2007 DTS retains the 4.6-liter V8 from the 2006 make. The performance is only marginally improved in the Performance make to 292hp with front-wheel drive.

Despite its length (which can be intimidating for most drivers), the rear leveling control that restores the ride height and quality of the vehicle when excess weight is added at the rear end.

The 2007 Cadillac DTS also has an ABS and an obstacle detection system for both the front and the rear ends. The anti-skid mechanism and the automatic traction control make this vehicle one of the safest – even at high speeds.

'06 Cadillac DTS

The 2006 Cadillac DTS is held in high regard as a rare achievement for any car manufacturer. Shortly following its release, the design of the 2006 DTS was adopted for the United States presidential limousine. The original version of the DTS happens to be an improved and restyled version of the earlier DeVille.

With a 4.6-liter V8 engine and an automatic four-speed transmission in three Luxury trim levels, the 2006 Cadillac DTS has a generates 276hp. The Performance package DTS can produce 291hp.

The DTS Performance package has additional features that allow it to live up to its title, such as the automatically adjustable shock absorbers and a firmer suspension.

The 2006 Cadillac DTS has its quota of safety features to go with the tremendous luxury that it offers. Anti-lock braking system, multiple airbags and a traction control mechanism are just a few examples. An adaptive cruise control complemented by navigation assistance is also included.
